CEO of the year 2017 in Greece was awarded to the Cypriot Christodoulos Protopapas


Honorary distinction for the CEO of Hellas Sat from InfoCom World Conference

The top prize of the InfoCom World Conference "CEO of the Year 2017" in Greece was awarded to the CEO of Hellas Sat Christodoulos Protopapas.
The prize was presented to Mr. Protopapas by the Μinister of Digital Policy, Telecommunications and Media of Greece Nikos Pappas, in the presence of about 2,500 executives who participated in the Conference and the parallel workshops that were organized.

The Executive Director of Hellas Sat was honored for its global IT and telecom offerings in Greece and Southeastern Europe and his innovative activities and successes, culminating in the recent launch of the Hellas Sat 3 satellite and programming for Hellas Sat 4.

Mr. Protopapas, receiving the highly honored distinction, thanked the Greek Government for its support in his work and the constructive cooperation. He also thanked the Μinister of Digital Policy, Telecommunications and Media Nikos Pappas, to whom he did not find only a new politician with a vision for his country, but also a scientist and technocrat who wants to constantly be informed about new technologies and to promote them together with other innovative actions in his own country. He also thanked the Minister for his personal support to the Greek space industry and the efforts he has made with his team for the establishment and operation of the Helenic Association of Space Industry.

The InfoCom World Conference is the largest annual conference in the telecommunications and IT sector in Southeastern Europe. It targets telecom, IT, media and technology executives, as well as high-ranking government executives.
