Through such strategic partnerships with both private and public corporations, business angels, universities and investors, Cyta seeks to contribute decisively to the creation of an Innovation ecosystem. This is achieved through the action of its Center for Innovation and Development of Ideas, which, among other things, aims to transform ideas into start-ups, fueling the developmental future of both the Organization and the country.

IDEA was created in 2015 by Bank of Cyprus and CIIM, aiming to contribute to the creation of successful startups and to the change of the culture of the Cypriot society by encouraging entrepreneurship and innovation. IDEA accommodates small startup companies for a period of nine months, offering a comprehensive range of services (legal, accounting, marketing, technology, networking, investment, consulting, human resources, etc.) to facilitate the transition from the stage of idea, at the stage of a viable business.

IDEA is also supported by the existing strategic partners of the program, the law firm Lellos P. Dimitriadis, Innovation - Leo Burnett and Deloitte Cyprus, which offer significant and valuable services.
